Swap the Meeting Room for a Recording Studio: A Different Kind of Away Day
Most away days follow a familiar pattern: a hired room, a projector and a few breakout sessions. Useful, but rarely memorable.
A recording studio changes the feel of the day. Here's what a day of making music together looks like.
Everyone starts from the same place
Most of your team won't have played in a band, and that's the point. Senior leaders and new starters pick up real instruments on equal terms, with professional musicians guiding every step. No experience needed.
Working towards one result
Each band learns a song, then the whole group can write a company anthem around your own values. People listen, take turns and agree on what works, while making something together.
A recording to take home
At the end of the day the track is recorded in the studio, so everyone leaves with the song they made.
Out of London, but easy to reach
Our studio venue is Snug Creative Hub in Aldershot, a custom-built studio between Guildford and Farnham, which gives London teams a proper change of scene. If getting away isn't practical, we can bring music sessions and staff lessons to your office instead.
Plan your studio away day
Every CMD day is built around your group and your objectives, and led by Steven Sammut, who has run CMD for over 20 years.
